Napa Valley & Bay Area (Dec 2009)

Sasha and I spent the day in Calistoga (Napa Valley) for wine tasting at three wineries: Bennett Lane, Clos Pegase, and Castello di Amorosa (a castle!!). The next day, Sasha had the great idea of stopping at the Palace of Fine Arts, where there was some really great greek-inspired architecture. I also wanted to get some pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge, so we stopped on the Marin County side on the way to my Aunt's house.

  • Another Sasha-stole-my-camera picture. Her first HDR!
  • Close up of a greek godess (?) a la Sasha.
  • The photographer herself.
  • One of my other favorites. I liked the reflections in the water. Turning it HDR really pulled out the colors and gave it a dreamy feel.
  • Another HDR at the Palace of Fine Arts.
  • A "panoramic" view of the Palace of Fine Arts.
  • Another HDR at the Palace of Fine Arts.
  • We stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge before heading to my Aunt and Uncle's house for dinner. We got this great opportunity to shoot from the Marin side of the bridge because Sasha missed the exit on the SF side. :)
  • Golden Gate Bridge looking from Marin County.
  • I really liked this perspective of the Golden Gate Bridge. Then I realized Sasha took this one...

  • It was very overcast as a storm was coming in, but Sasha got this picture of the city looking from Marin County.
  • Sasha and I in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. And Aaron's tripod. I placed it on the ledge so as to keep it out of the picture... Whoops.
  • Sasha showing off the Golden Gate Bridge like Vana White.
  • Jason showing off the bridge like Ed McMahon.
  • Awesome. No other explanation necessary.
